Celebrate DeviantArt's 15th Birthday!
As DeviantArt enters its 15th year on the Internet, we want to take a moment before blowing out our candles to thank the community for allowing us the honor of hosting the site that you call your home for art. After all, it's the community's 15th birthday, too, and in the past few months, we've been making it our top priority to share with you our plans for the future, celebrate the successes of our past, and look to you for guidance on how best we can serve each of you while entering this new phase of DeviantArt's existence.

[…] Often a ratio aspect of 1:2 is also considered Macro, although that ratio shows subjects which life size is half of the size compared to the negative or sensor, I prefer to call those pictures Close-up photographies." (quote from here)
But why do I love it so much? In order to answer that
"Here’s the thing, every year people make these grand plans in treir head to do all their favorite holiday things. Decorate the tree, make sugar cookies, decorate the house, make gingerbread houses from scratch, send out christmas cookies to everyone, find the best gifts, watch ALL the Christmas movies, go for a snowy sleigh ride, make hot cocoa with giant marshmallows and loads of whipped cream, go ice skating, make the most grand Christmas dinner – with the table set all cute and festive. The idea is pretty much just to have the perfect Christmas season, which starts with A big snowfall .
